Her feast day is September 13th. She is depicted as an older woman wearing hip-waders and carrying a lion skull and a net. She is the patron saint of the bog cranberry harvest. The relevance of the lion skull is unknown.


She is believed to be based on an 8th century historical figure, although few details are known about her life, including how hip-waders, first manufactured in the 1850s, got associated with her.
