December 3rd is the Feast Day of Saint Charvus. Saint Charvus was a disciple of Saint Joan, patron of hex wrenches, but greatly exceeded her in faith. He is most famed for the Miracle of the Goats, where he led a thousand goats out of a blizzard and brought them back to an astonished shepherd. The shepherd had given his flock up for lost, and also, they had been sheep when they went into the blizzard.
Saint Charvus is the patron of positive change derived from adversity. He is shown as a man with the head of a sheep, standing in the snow surrounded by goats and wearing a robe with a brilliant silver lining.
