June 29th is the Feast Day of Saint Trent of the Coriander Isles. Legend has it that he was fasting on a small atoll and grew thirsty. Whereupon he struck the ground with his staff, and fresh water sprung up from beneath the ground. The whereabouts of this miraculous spring are disputed today. Some scholars claim that it was a metaphor for conversion, while other say that the island exists, but the spring has been completely covered in sea bird guano.
